Go after your goals!

I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. I am looking forward to the New Year and knocking walls down, climbing hills and going after our goals. 2018 starts a new year, so why chose to do the same things as last year? Let’s take this year and make it memorable. Let’s start conquering our financial woes and head on the path to success. Let nothing stop or waiver us to financial freedom. Let’s be the captain of our lives. Let’s experience joy and happiness. Sounds great, right? I’ll tell you straight; it’s not going to be easy and walls aren’t going to bow down to you, but it’s absolutely attainable. “Only the strong survive,” is the mentality you need to get up in the morning and press forward to stay on your path.

Where do we start? Where are you heading? You have to set goals and establish plans to achieve those goals. We can’t throw goals out there and not make a strategy to reach them. The beginning of the year is a great time to see where you came from and are you on the path to freedom. Grab a piece of paper and write the word goals at the top, then list some goals. Put a time frame on achieving each specific goal and then for each goal write a specific plan to achieve your goals using who, what, where, when as a guide. Set monthly goal markers to keep you on track per goal and if you have to track harder then go with weekly goal markers. Post your goals in easy to see place for reminders and accountability for your success.

This is a great time to start a budget, because your goals will play a part in your finances. No matter if it’s getting out of debt, new career, new baby, up-sizing, down-sizing, schooling, clothing , car, even eating. “Your monthly spending path” (budget) or whatever you want to name it is absolutely crucial to your success no matter if you are single, married, a small business, a non-profit, or a church. A budget is core to the plans that you set to reach your goals. Get on your path today. Start investing in yourself, you are worth it!
